One shared material CO2e list, not a second copy. This reads and
writes directly to — the same
list used by Truly Reclaimed pledges. Adding a material here is
a plain web form; nothing needs Cloudflare or a command line.
READ-ONLY FOR NOW — writing to the shared registry from this public page is disabled pending real auth (Cloudflare Access or a Worker-side API key), so this doesn't stay an open unauthenticated write endpoint. To add or update a material, use the registry's gated admin tool directly. This panel comes back once that auth is wired up.
Six-digit code = 2-digit category + 2-digit group + 2-digit variant (e.g. 170101 = cat 17, group 01, item 01). GG00 = group generic, GG99 = group median (computed). 0000/9999 = category-wide generic/median (also computed from every leaf item, pooled across all groups). No group yet? Use group 00 as a flat running series (e.g. 010001, 010002...) and reorganise into real groups later.
SCOPE BOUNDARY — This database holds material types and their carbon factors only (e.g. "Edwardian basin, vitreous china"), kept small and curated. It is not a stock ledger. Individual physical items a dealer holds (maker, condition, unique piece, price, photos) belong in the separate dealer stock system — not yet built — which will reference these type codes rather than extend them. Do not add one-off/unique physical items here; add the material type they belong to instead.
One item per line: ID, Name, Factor or ID, Name, Factor, Reference
— added to the category selected above. Reference defaults to "ICE v3 2019" if omitted.
